Time with God

Looking back over my life, I realized how I allowed the tyranny of the urgent to rob me from alone and undistracted time with God – to know him in a very personal way.  Maybe it was an indifference to the Word amidst the busyness of life, and of all things, the church.

Writers consider themselves to be “in the zone”, or a place of mind that is free from distractions, and words flow as fast as they can type them.

In like manner, I believe that God would have us strive to be “in the zone” with him more often – a quiet place of mind, where his words flow like milk and honey into our consciousness – a place where we can be still and know that he is God.
